## What it is

Specular is an AI website agent and customer workspace from SynconAI. ## How it differs from a chatbot

Specular's agent answers from the business's own published material and keeps the source of each answer, qualifies while it helps, books on real availability, brings in a person with a brief, and writes what happened to a customer record and pipeline in the same workspace.

Ray answers from your own pages and documents, asks your qualification questions, offers times your team is free and brings in a person when someone asks for one.

### Will it sound like my business?

It answers from your content, carries your name and colours, and you choose the character and how it talks. Every setting can be changed later.

### What happens when someone wants a person?

Your team is told who is asking and why, gets a short brief, and joins the same conversation. On paid plans you also set what happens outside your hours, so nobody is left waiting without an answer.

### Do I need a CRM or help desk first?

No. People, conversations, meetings, opportunities and tasks all live in Specular, and paid plans can export them whenever you like. On Pro, webhooks and the public API connect the tools you already use.
